Troven Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Troven mobile application and related websites (together, "Troven"), operated by Troven Lab. You must accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy in the app (User Agreement) before using Troven. Creating an account or continuing to use Troven after acceptance confirms that agreement. Joining the website waitlist is optional and does not create an app account.

1. The service

Troven helps you discover movies and TV series, build a library, chat with friends, and run group watch sessions. Features may change over time. Movie metadata and images are provided by TMDb; Troven is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.

2. Accounts

• You must meet the minimum age in the Privacy Policy.
• Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may delete your account in Settings or via account deletion.

3. Acceptable use & user content

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or spam other users.
• Share illegal, hateful, or sexually exploitative content.
• Impersonate others or scrape the service beyond normal use.
• Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or access admin tools without authorization.

Messages, usernames, and other content you submit ("User Content") remain yours, but you grant Troven a license to host and display that content as needed to operate the service (for example, to deliver chats to recipients). You can report or block users in-app.

4. Friends, chats & sessions

• Friend requests and chats are voluntary; other participants can see your display name and messages.
• Support chats are reviewed by Troven operators.
• Group sessions share swipe activity with participants of that session.
• Chat messages are retained as described in the Privacy Policy (default 12 months).

5. Ads, rewards & quotas

Troven may show ads and offer optional rewards or purchases subject to store rules. Virtual quotas or rewards have no cash value and may be adjusted. Any store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. In-app billing may not be available in every release.

6. Intellectual property

Troven branding, software, and non-user content are owned by Troven Lab or licensors. TMDb content is subject to TMDb terms. You may not copy or reverse engineer the app except as allowed by law.

7. Disclaimers

Troven is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect recommendations, or that third-party titles remain available on streaming platforms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Troven Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from user content or third-party services (Firebase, TMDb, AdMob, app stores).

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk to the community. You may stop using Troven and delete your account at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms and will revise the "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we may ask you to accept a new User Agreement version in the app before continuing.
